Consumer may terminate contract even without proving a defect in its formation

A court ruling reported on August 24 held that a consumer may terminate a contract even without evidencing a defect in its formation, loss of interest in the transaction being sufficient. The decision highlights the different treatment given to consumer relations as compared to arm’s-length business-to-business contracts.
