CNJ and Central Bank create executive group to regulate the assignment of court-ordered debt (precatórios)

The President of the Federal Supreme Court and of the National Council of Justice, Justice Edson Fachin, and Central Bank Governor Gabriel Galípolo signed Joint Ordinance No. 6/2026 on August 12, creating an executive group to propose a national system for the registration, traceability and control of assignments of precatório credits. The rule makes a public deed mandatory for the first assignment and provides for a future National Assignment Registry integrating courts, notary offices and registrars.
