Brazil’s offshore support fleet continues to operate with more than 470 vessels under Brazilian Jurisdictional Waters (AJB), making it one of the largest offshore support fleets worldwide.
While current fleet levels demonstrate strong market resilience, continued investments in pre-salt developments and the potential opening of the Equatorial Margin suggest that additional fleet expansion and modernization may become necessary over the coming years.
For international shipowners and offshore service providers, Brazil remains one of the few global offshore markets combining:
- sustained long-term demand
- major upstream investment programs
- expanding frontier exploration
• opportunities for fleet renewal and technological modernization
