Legal Framework for Collective Public Transportation enacted (Law 15,432/2026)

Brazil’s federal government enacted, with partial vetoes, the Legal Framework for Collective Public Transportation (Law 15,432/2026), published in the Official Gazette on June 14, 2026. The new law sets rules for financing, contracting and management of urban public transportation, allowing alternative revenue sources beyond fares, such as advertising and commercial space exploitation.
