Transpetro reports profit above R$1 billion in 2025, up 22% from the previous year

Transpetro, the logistics and transportation subsidiary of Petrobras, reported net profit of R$1.06 billion in 2025, representing a 22% increase compared with 2024. The result reflects the company’s strategy of diversifying its logistics services and resuming investments aimed at expanding its own fleet and infrastructure.

The company also recorded gross consolidated revenue exceeding R$14.5 billion, about 5% higher than the previous year, indicating steady operational growth. Adjusted EBITDA reached approximately R$5.1 billion, while investments totaled R$471 million during the year.

Operational performance was supported by continued growth in the transportation of oil and petroleum products. In 2025, Transpetro registered the fourth consecutive annual increase in cargo movement, transporting 658 million cubic meters of oil and derivatives through its network of 46 terminals and roughly 8,500 kilometers of pipelines, marking a record volume for the company and a 1.1% increase compared with 2024.

Company executives attributed the positive results to strategic changes implemented in recent years. Since 2023, the company has redirected its strategy toward growth by diversifying its logistics portfolio, attracting new clients, and responding to increasing demand from Petrobras, its controlling shareholder.

Transpetro has also resumed investments to strengthen its transportation capacity and modernize its fleet. Contracts have already been signed for the construction of four Handy-class vessels and eight gas carriers, and the company is conducting a tender process to hire four additional MR-1 tankers.

In addition, the company plans to expand into inland waterway navigation and intends to become a supplier of marine fuel (bunker) in Brazil. To support this strategy, contracts were signed for 18 barges and 18 push boats, with a planned investment of approximately R$628 million.

Overall, the results highlight a period of financial and operational expansion for Transpetro, supported by rising logistics demand within the Petrobras system and a broader strategy focused on strengthening transportation capacity, diversifying services, and positioning the company for future growth in Brazil’s energy logistics sector.
