Petrobras to resume production on FPSO Angra dos Reis at the Tupi field

Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras has announced plans to resume production on the FPSO Angra dos Reis, located in the Tupi field within the pre-salt area of the Santos Basin.

The unit—capable of producing approximately 50,000 barrels of oil per day—had been previously suspended by the Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás Natural e Biocombustíveis (ANP) for safety reasons.

The restart underscores the strategic importance of the Tupi field within Brazil’s offshore production portfolio and highlights Petrobras’s ongoing commitment to operational safety and energy sector resilience.
