Government Role: Regulation and Climate Justice

The Brazilian government plays a crucial role in the energy transition by implementing public policies that encourage the use of renewable energy and promote climate justice. Judicial interventions have also become an important tool to ensure these policies are effective, safeguarding fundamental rights such as access to clean and affordable energy. Additionally, the federal government announced an initial contribution of US$1 billion to the Tropical Forest Finance Facility (TFFF), a groundbreaking fund aimed at unlocking investments in forest conservation and sustainable development.
