Aneel approves tender for 11 transmission lots with estimated investments of R$7.9 billion

The National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) has approved the tender for the transmission auction scheduled for October 31 at the B3 headquarters in São Paulo. Eleven lots will be offered for the construction, operation, and maintenance of transmission lines, with estimated investments of R$7.89 billion. The initiative aims to expand and strengthen the Basic Grid of the National Interconnected System (SIN).

The 11 lots cover 1,178 kilometers of transmission lines and 51 facilities across 12 Brazilian states: Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Paraná, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, Rondônia, Rio Grande do Sul, and São Paulo.

The signing of concession contracts is expected on February 23 of next year. The contracts establish deadlines for the completion of works and the start of commercial operation, as well as requirements related to service quality.
