In a public civil action brought by the Federal Attorney General’s Office, the Federal Court of the Federal District granted in part an interim injunction requiring the platform to deploy age verification mechanisms going beyond self-declaration, to link accounts of users under 16 to their legal guardians and to adopt protective settings by default. The ruling is grounded in the Digital ECA (Law No. 15,211/2025) and sets a daily fine of R$ 100,000 for non-compliance.
