Brazilian Data Protection Authority holds public hearing on the revision of its Inspection and Administrative Sanctioning Regulation

On 22 September, the ANPD announced the virtual public hearing held on 24 September on the update of Resolution CD/ANPD No. 1/2021, with 43 registered speakers from the public and private sectors. The revision aims to align enforcement with the Authority’s new mandates — protection of children and adolescents online (Digital Statute for Children and Adolescents), the duties of application providers set out in Decree No. 12,975/2026, and the ANPD’s conversion into a regulatory agency under Law No. 15,352/2026. The public consultation is open for contributions until 26 October on the Brasil Participativo platform.
