Brazilian Land Transport Agency makes CIOT registration of road freight operations mandatory as of 18 September

ANTT Resolution No. 6,090 set 18 September 2026 as the date on which registration of paid road freight transport operations through the CIOT became mandatory, under Article 7, paragraph 15, of Law No. 13,703/2018. Prior ANTT rules remain applicable where compatible with Law No. 15,485/2026, and obligations depending on technological integration will only be enforceable on the date of the relevant implementing act, with a minimum 60-day adaptation period where operational impact is material.
