The Science, Technology and Innovation Committee approved a substitute bill to Bill 6706/25 amending the Brazilian Internet Civil Framework to provide that data protection and processing rules also apply to data used by artificial intelligence systems. The rapporteur removed the mandatory preventive audit requirement of the original text, citing excessive costs for small and mid-sized providers.
