The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) signed memoranda of understanding with Google, X, Meta, Kwai, Telegram, TikTok, LinkedIn, OpenAI, ElevenLabs, and Anthropic to combat disinformation in the 2026 municipal elections. New obligations include a ban on algorithmic recommendation of candidates by AI platforms, a prohibition on digital misogyny against female candidates, and platform liability for failure to remove fake profiles.
