On September 9, the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) opened a public consultation to update Resolution CD/ANPD No. 1/2021, which governs the Authority’s supervisory and administrative sanctioning proceedings. The review incorporates ANPD’s new powers arising from the Digital Statute of the Child and Adolescent, Decree No. 12,975/26 (Brazilian Internet Civil Framework) and Law No. 15,352/26, which converted ANPD into a regulatory agency. Contributions may be filed until October 26, and a virtual public hearing will be held on September 24.
